1 hour in the corn field not sure what i found ?

When a friend of mine who owns 40 acres of field plows under for the season he lets me detect there today i hit a field for about 1 hour not much the ground was pretty muddy lots of shot gun shells real deep then i got this +82 on my DFX it was 7.5 inches deep i said hhmm so i dug down the soil is very sandy then i saw it on the bottom of the hole ? i said oh wow !! a Reale i didnt try to clean it until i got home not iam not sure its copper but has silver also , now iam thinking more towards horse ? the owner is 82 his dad used to plow the fields with 4 plow horses , if anyone can ID this Thanks alot .Jim

It might be a bridle rosette if it is 2 inches in diameter... If it is 2 feet in diameter then it probably is not a bridle rosette. :P

yep need to see that back. But it does look like it could be a rosette. That type of star is fairly common on colonial period items from England. I'm attaching a pic of a colonial harness boss I dug about a year ago.

Yep it looks like a button with the shank missing. from about the mid 1700's Nice
