Today was Cru'Dad's choice, to be fair it was our next best option but I wasn't that keen. Its a fairly low status, low yield site that we have done fairly well. That being said the conditions were very good & we gridded the whole 2.5 acre site in 6 hours.
I'm glad we done it now;

17 Roman bronze Coins - Ses of Commodus
1 Lead Token
1 Rose Farthing
14th C Buckle
Part of a Roman Balance Arm (the tip)
Part of a Roman Child's Bracelet
Siliqua of Constantius II (Only the 2nd of this type in the collection) - Its also only the 2nd silver we have had off this site ever!

Nice digs, so jealous of your history

Killer hunt, congratulations! :notworthy:

Roman silver makes any day a good day!

Really nice hunt you had. Love the old finds you dig!

Very nice finds , as always. Out of curiosity, how many hours to you spend out detecting in an average year? Whatever the number, its clearly time well spent! Congrats!

Great day out from the field I'd say, congrats on the silver. Conditions at times play a big factor for results, Cru Dad picked a good one.

Send them to me and I'll begin seeding the U.S. with ancient Roman sites for us to enjoy hunting down.

That's a nice haul for a low status site.
Always pays to listen to Dad.
Nice hunt

Sometimes, but we both have our strengths & it's normally myself who picks the sites. However, without Cru'Dad driving around & scouting them all, plus GPSing & logging all the data on maps my picking would much harder. Quite often its like a military op, we discuss the intel & choose the best line of attack. Scheduling in fields based on lots of variables. This year like many others we have done the best combo in the time available. I don't think we made a wrong turn so far this year. We quickly correct poor choices or cross off new bad targets.

Which is the partial bracelet? Thank you for showing us your eye candy.
