Detected this field for about 1.5 hours today. Was -5/23F with no wind so wasn?t so bad out there but I need to get some of those battery powered boot heaters, LOL! We had too much snow close to home so I drove 10 minutes south. Close to the tree line the snow here was about 2-3?, not bad, got much deeper closer to the middle of the field so I detected the area in front of the detector, the soil was partly frozen but I could still pull a plug. I used the CZ7A today with some nice results.
A few crusty coins, dates are 1918 and 192?, the 500 Mark coin is aluminum and didn?t hold up well.
Obverse of three more 50 Pfenning aluminum coins, 1922, 1920 and a no date. The two lower coins are in amazing condition for aluminum. All found close in an area, strange how one coin goes to crap and two hold up nicely in the same dirt.
Reverse of the aluminum coins, the saying reads ?SICH REGEN BRINGT SEGEN? or ? RAIN ITSELF BRINGS BLESSING?
Obverse of a 1924 copper 2 Pfenning in nice condition and a tag with a P on it, P stands for Parkplatz (Parkplace), maybe monopoly, LOL!
Reverse of the 1924 coin and tag. You can see the word Parkplatz at the top.
Thought this was a neat find, a miniature old style radio made of lead, it?s about 1 ??X1?, unfortunately the back side was crushed in by a plow at some point. Found the radio, the 2 Pfenning coin and a square nail in bad shape all in the same hole, this has been an interesting field. Another great day out detecting! HH, Mike
