Hello Everyone

The 1909 S VDB that I found in a bag of cents a few weeks ago came back from PCGS yesterday graded VF30. It didn't go out as quickly as I thought it would so it took a little longer to get back.

the grade is what I expected and of course I'm still in shock about finding one in circulation

once a year rare coins are purposely put into circulation
to get people interested in Collecting. this may have been one.

Congrats on the find and Grade :icon_thumleft:

I'll probably never know why or how this one got into circulation. I did contact the ANA because I know that as a means of advertising their National Money Shows they release older and sometimes rare coins into circulation. They confirmed that they did release some in the Portland area for the show here, but they did not release a S-VDB.
