1809 Half Cent that is....
Well I got a good go at things today after a late start. I was planning on going down to visit Treblehunter but I fell asleep as we were making plans. When I woke up it was just to late for a long drive.

So I went to a spot I've been eyeballing for some time. It is a hike in colonial spot. Got to digging and I'll let the pics tell most of the story...but man did I get thorned-up and torn to shreds with bramble! I was bleeding everywhere!

The pewter spoon and dish were just fragments. This site seems rather large so I'm going to tuck this one away until the Carolina Boys visit.

Good digs,

Steve

Killer Scrappy. The half cent is really sweet, as is the skeleton key... and of course silver coins...

Congrats brother!

Thanks Tom. All my other half cents have looked like dog **** so it was nice finding a good one. Did you like that video? Lol

That's a great day man! Love it all. That largie is very nice

Great hunt, love the old copper! Congratualtions! :occasion14:

Great digs! The half cent is awesome!

Nice hunt. The only half cent I ever found was also an 1809 classic head. I love those old keys too. Congrats! :occasion14:

What an awesome hunt. Well worth the loss of blood in my book. Congratulations on the super finds.

Really nice job scrappy congrats on the spill and half cent

Thanks man! The spill sounded all scattered and I thought I was digging slaw. The half cent was 3" down and sounded like a Lincoln cent. It just goes to show ya gotta dig things even if you think they're junk;)

If was a fine reward. You know it was 78 degrees today? I think I got a sunburn Abe

First target I ever dug 20 years ago was an 1809 Half Cent.... but yours looks fantastic dude  All mine look like your steel cent. Ha. Great hunt and sweet silvers man.

I can't get over the condition. I'm used to farm coppers and they always look like a horse chewed on them and then crapped it out. This one was not from a farm and what a difference!
Great digs! The half cent is awesome!
Thanks for looking man.
Nice half cent, good condition

Thanks Pa. For every good one there's about 20 crappy ones

Lol we talked about this when I found my last half cent. Was my last an 1809 as well? I need to look. Anyway, you sent me a picture of yours and I remember it.

I just checked. It's my second 1809ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1457574920.122689.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1457574935.373056.jpg
