Had to get out and decompress a little today after a bit of a stressful afternoon. Eventually I started finding some wheaties and that was helping my mood a bit. Toward the end of the hunt I pulled a wheatie and a rosie in an area my dad had been searching already. The wheatie was a signal you couldn't miss, so it pays to overlap well. The rosie was a super one way signal only 4 inches down... and it was an inch away from a roofing nail in the hole. Just luck that I came around the tree at just the right angle to hit it. The old well traveled ground that doesn't receive much shade was as hard as frozen ground in the winter... it was really pissing me off. Everything was going fine until we witnessed a nice looking house cat get run over right in front of us as we were walking back to our cars. Poor cat. We felt terrible about it... still do.

Way to go Brett. Congrats.......Yeah the ground IS getting prety hard.........Sure could use some rain.

Too bad about the cat but atleast you got a silver. :icon_pirat:

Nice finds!
That had to make your day a little better after a rough start. Too bad about that cat. I'm not a cat person, but I hate seeing any critter get smoldered on the road.

Hey, glad you managed to squeeze one in right at the end. Funny thing was, I was done hunting, machine off and laying on the little hillside were I dug the Rosie and Buffalo the other day. And I'm telling Brett, I'm leaving and he can stay all he wants 'cause I (Thought I) scoured it pretty good the other day and this morning again before work. As he's digging the Rosie hole I say, "come on that's not gonna be..and he yells "Silver!"-- Boy, I was glad you found it... so we could finally leave.... ;D

To bad about the Kitty..just glad that no small kids saw that happen. Without going into those last horrific minutes , it was very traumatizing to say the least.... :angel7: :cat: :angel7:

Just what the doctor ordered - more silver for Brett's growing pile!!! Nice find, Brett!!

No coin is safe when you are around!

I saw a crow literally go crunch under the wheels of a car when I was a young kid and can still picture it today. Sorry you guys had to see that happen....

If silver could talk they'd be saying "Oh no. . . here comes Brett :o"

(try not to decompress TOO much :D)

ANOTHER GREAT FIND , WTG!

Poor cat....

The silver will live on now..... ( that's bad )

Silver Magnet.....
