After the mornings chores were done, and the snow quit flying, my son and I headed out to a family members farm to check a site I had seen some 15 years ago while deer hunting.
The only things left of the old homestead are the old well and a family cemetary. The rest is now pasture. The head stones date from the mid-late 1800's to very early 1900's.
The very first signal I dug was my first Indian Head ever. The 37 wheatie came about 2 hours later. A lot of iron in an area about 100' x 100'.
Lord willing we'll be back many times this summer.
