Hi all, found this metal detecting the other day with my uncle and was hoping someone could tell me more about it. We haven’t been able to find much on it. I’m guessing it’s maybe 1830-50s but I really have no idea. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks, GL&HH

I googled the type on the back of this button to no avail. Any idea as to era? I’m thinking WWII, but I found a WWI military button in the same area of Wisconsin woods just yesterday.
Today I went out to a local park for a few hours of detecting. Second day in a row that I have been able to hunt in quite a while. Also, second day in a row that I have found two silvers!
My first silver was a 1943 Mercury dime! I initially had a tough time pinpointing it, but eventually I saw...
Hey so I found this U.S. uniform button metal detecting around the house. I was wondering if anyone knew what kind of uniform it comes from? The eagle doesnt have a shield and has a crown above its head. Please help!
Also there is no writing on the back because it rusted out.
Found a wee button in my mums coin collection, would love to know more about it, have searched the internet and found the name Stokes and Sons which is written on the back of the button, but I can’t find a similar button so I can learn more about it, like what country it belongs to, era, war...

Found a bag full of buttons. Waterbury Button Co. Conn
I thought they were brass military buttons, but I'm not having any luck finding them.
Eagle with branch in center and what appears to be a modified southern cross behind.
Looks like enough buttons for a coat.
Thanks!

Would you help me to identify any or all of the buttons found at the site of a former shoddy woolen mill? Would be much appreciated. I’m a newbie to this site. Here’s hoping the photo attaches. :-)
I don't know why but when I hold these I get the sense that they are not as old as they look. They seem to be made out of copper. Back is stamped "D. Evans & Co No Attleboro Mass"
Can anyone help date these for me. Any info is appreciated. Thanks!
