For sale is a gently used E-TRAC that I no longer need. It comes with lots of extras listed below. The screen is scratch free, I have always used a screen protector cover over the entire control housing to protect it. There is also a “Pro-Tector” cover on the grip, which still looks like new. I...
I need help figuring out what is wrong with my Etrac. One problem is erratic false signals I know it's not emi. It does these erratic signals only while the coil is in motion, even if I have the coil 6 feet in the air. If the coil isn't moving it doesn't do any erratic signals. I have two coils...
Minelab E-trac in excellent condition. Under 3 yrs old. I used this great detector a few times and had great results in several areas that had already been well hammered with other detectors. I'm selling so that I may be able to expand my hunting areas. I live in Western Maryland and want to...
I am planning to buy a new metal detector in the next couple months. I have only used gold prospecting detectors so I am unsure which one I should choose. I am kind of leaning towards the E-Trac or the XP Deus anyone familiar with these machines that can give me some advice. 1500 is a lot of...
Hi friends. I recently started using an etrac and love it! The backlight is lackluster and the screen hard to see most of the time. Anyone have a mod or upgrade to fix this problem?
I hate to do it, but I am clearing out my stable of detectors and gear. I have too many closet-queens and I would rather they go to someone who will use them.
I have for sale a Sunray X-8 (8 inch DD) coil for the Minelab E-Trac and Explorer series of detectors pre-mounted to an E-trac lower rod...

I'm very new to metal detecting and while I know there are some really good finds in my yard, it is full of dumping holes for nails and other metal trash. I've been on the quest for a way to sift the trash and after countless articles, videos, etc. I found this blog from a guy in Australia...
Went to a friends yard today this is the only coin that turned up, think the mosquitoes got more than V cents worth of blood! Looks like the date showing is 1903, maybe should try the ketchup cleaning method ?
If it cleans up good will post again, thanks for checking out todays finds !

Hello everyone,
I detected a couple local schools this past week and did Ok. Got my second Silver Half of the year and a few other goodies. Still pulling decent stuff out of local parks and schools as I still haven't got the courage up to start door knocking. So many old properties around...
Hello All!
It was just a beautiful day yesterday and I had a great time detecting. I finally won one over at the park closest to my house where silver has eluded me until now. Also hit up a new spot after some research the night before and it paid off! It was a great day, 60 degrees, alot of...

Hello All,
I have been going thru withdrawl lately with the frozen ground here in CT but we had a couple of above freezing days so I decided to try and go detecting. I hit a local elementary school where I have had some luck in the past and did pretty good even with the frozen ground. Check...
Hello All,
I can't believe it but I was lucky enough to be able to go out detecting again today at my local park here in CT. There is one baseball field that i keep detecting that has soft enough ground to dig...everywhere else i try to dig is frozen, it's kind of weird but i won't complain as...

Hello All,
I was lucky enough to be able to get out detecting for a 2nd day in a row as it was 45 degrees here in CT today! I cannot believe I am metal detecting in January. Well, I hit the same baseball field that I've been detecting my last few hunts and had some more luck, including a...
Hello all,
It was 60 degrees and rainy all day yesterday which sort of softened the ground...today was 40 degrees and partly sunny so I decided to go swing the coil at a park real close to my house where I've had some luck and I'm glad I did. It was a great first hunt of the year, if you have...

I have the E-trac being delivered tomorrow. I researched as best I could. Lots of good reviews . I would like to have the sites give an opinion on this machine. Also some advise on using it. Been using the Gamma 6000 for a year now. Thanks in advance!
I called and got permission about an hour ago. Looks like it will be a clear day in the high 50's partly sunny. I hunted a worked out park yesterday with nothing good found so wish me luck today. The owner said someone hunted it 2 months ago but it's a huge area so there may be something left...
Recently I have been thinking about depth and the size of DD coils and how one affects the other. For instance I have seen it stated that the elliptical coils offer better coverage lengthwise but sacrifice depth to do so. For example a round 6 inch DD would get more depth than a coil that is...
My first few short hunts of the year netted me
12 Wheat cents from 1914 through to the 1950's
2 Indians a 1901 and a 1902 both in fairly nice shape
1 1920 Mercury dime
1 1902 V Nickel
1 clad dime
a toy tractor
a piece of a ring
I'd say that with 16 of the 17 coins dug being keepers from a...
Any tips on how to get the curly part of the coil cable through the super-tight carbon-fiber shaft for the E-trac? I have a 6x8 cable that just DOES NOT want to go through that tight opening at the bottom of the shaft...

Well, the fields around me are finally starting to get picked of their crops and that means they're opening up for detecting. I was able to get out last week with my buddy Wes, and he and I put in a full day. We each had a pouch full of trinkets, but the 1898 Barber Quarter was my prize...

I have a nice E-trac package for sale here. Includes E-trac (bought about 2.5 years ago and has found hundreds of silver coins in worked-out public spots) with Pro-coil, Herke arm-cuff with neoprene cover, sun-ray x-1 probe, Tornado coil, Sharpshooter coil, and...
