Hello! We just got this cannon ball, which was originally found by my great grandfather somewhere in the DC/Maryland/Virginia area. Not sure exactly where. It is 65 lbs and 7.88 in in diameter. We are thinking it Civil War era, but we are new to this and would appreciate any info or advice! Thanks.
I have what I believe could be a half of a copper cannon ball that has been melted on the outside and has pits and bubbles it not magnetic and is copper color not sure how to post a pic on here would love to share and find out more about it thanks billy the kid 22
