Did some digging last evening on the site of an old 1920's speakeasy. From my past excavations here it is clear they had a good time up until the summer of 1924 when the artifacts abruptly stop (last dated newspaper from August 24th 1924). Anyway here are some of the finds from my latest dig...
Included are a couple of my favorites. If the bowl and the 9 1/2 inch long pestle is not authentic, than I will eat both of them and never attempt to ID any stone tool again. I believe the smallest one is a shaft straightener? The other long one was broken at the bottom and am unsure on that...
It has and ringing sound to it but I believe its glass if it's any special kind of glass I would love to know. It's 10'' with no markings. I bought it from Goodwill for 5.95
Hi all,
I have this interesting bowl/dish that looks like it might be some kind of metropolitan slipware. It is unmarked and my research brings up 1970s studio pottery as a possible match. From the design I'd say it looks quite English, but it's hard to find any similar that aren't redware...
Does anyone know anything about this bowl. It appears to be a very flexible pewter bowl about a foot 12" across and has "CHINA" etched in the bottom. Please help. I will post for spoon.
Hi everyone, thanks in advance your help with these. My grandpa left pails of rocks in his garage when he passed, which after some investigation over the years I’m thinking might be native artifacts? Doing some spring cleaning so I decided to finally clean them up and snap some pictures to...
Picked up this lotus bowl thrifting some months ago and have been unable to find out much about it. Looks like some blanc de chine lotus bowls I've seen onlin researching...but the ones I've seen are usually marked, all white and lacking the thorns present on this one. Anyone know anything about...
My 'find' is a wide glass bowl. It is about 13.5 inches wide, 2.5 inches tall. It is a dull cloudy sage green with other colored glass swirled through it. The outer portion of the bowl looks like it is coated with an off-white paint. The underneath shows the colored class better. No marks...
Hello again. My girlfriend and I came across this small bowl with, what looks like to me, a dandelion. I am trying to find out who's mark this is, and any help would be greatly appreciated. The bowl is 4" in diameter and 2 1/2" tall. Thank you again.
I bought this from a garage sale, and I'm wondering 1.What brand it is and 2. If it is indeed crystal...
There are no markings on it, I was told it was vintage. It has 6 cups matching the bowl's pattern.
My treasure hunting buddy and I were searching an area of Central Florida today and came up with 3 very interesting bowls. No, they weren't metal - but a molded clay. She found 1 and I found the other two. They were discovered in soft sand, 3 to 6 inches deep - below an ancient oak; in an area...
