Hey everyone, I've got a few different objects that I'm interested in knowing more about if possible. These are from two different sites not far from each other in western Indiana.
1.This object is lead and I broke it into two pieces when I pulled it out of the hole (crack on right side)...
Hi! I’m new here so not sure if I’m posting in the right place. My boyfriend bought me this ring today and we’d like to learn more about it. The antique shop lady said it’s from 1800s and these are mine cut diamonds. Any more info would be wonderful! Thank you!
I found these in my yard about 12 years ago 6” down all in the same hole stacked and it looks like you can see where the one with the hole was stacked on the other coin. I used a dfx 300 if you know anything about these feel free to let me know
Found this strangely shaped item in a harvested bean field in west central Indiana near an old home site dating to around 1830s. It registered about a 55-60 on my Garrett AT max and based on the look of it I'd say it's copper alloy (brass usually rings up around 77) but I'm not sure why it's not...
Found this at a site in west central Indiana, USA that turns up items that date to early 1800s-early 1900s. Any ideas? I included a front and back image and also an image of a tiny hinge on the back and a tiny loop (makes me think something would’ve clipped into this loop when it closed using...
Hello,
I found this coin in Western Europe.
It is around 32mm (1.26in) in diameter and is made of bronze or copper.
I have looked through coins from all over the European continent and can't seem to find a match.
It probably dates to the mid-late 1800s if I had to guess based on other finds in...
Can someone date this button I found? I seen similar police buttons but they had a wreath around the P. Thinking civil war Era, maybe a little later. Any info from the button connoisseurs is appreciated.
Found these today while going through some stuff for my grandparents. The 1849 coin is missing the 1 and the other had a foreign object that pushed through the coin when it was stamped. Thoughts on what might have caused either.
Thanks

Hello! Been a long, long while since I've posted...does anyone even remember me??? Lol haha. Anyways...I've been doing more yard sale hunting/re-selling then detecting this year. Made some killer finds and big chunk a change.

Found this bullet today here in Southern California.. Can somebody tell me more about it? was it fired, what kind of gun, etc?
Shown in the last picture are other bullets found in same location..
Thanks for any input.
Today I was looking through my metal detecting find bin and came across this. I remembered finding it at a 200+ year old cellar hole site about a quarter mile away from the cellar hole. It's iron but rang with iron discriminated. Today I found it in my find bin and noticed small "S" then a "W"...
