This is really exciting in my state of Pennsylvania. Enjoy!

FBI, treasure hunters digging in Elk County | WJAC

Nothing "exciting". As nothing's been found. Despite the 2 dudes phrasing everything in past tense "found", yet a careful look at the story shows that they've not found anything yet. They're just chasing a ghost-story legend. And sure enough, it's the big bad government that's stopping them from claiming the fortune, eh ?

Oh, and if you follow through on the 2 guys, they're TH'ing method was dowsing. NOT to start a debate on dowsing but ...... let's be honest .. doesn't this make you for a teensy moment have some ... uh .... doubts ?

We been working for 2 months in the snow with the FBI and now we are told to keep quiet until the investigation is done. This SUCKS, SORRY:BangHead:

Please update as soon as possible, digs on protected land do not take place on the merits of a legend, it would take evidence, courts do not over rule protective laws without evidence, I can't wait to here the outcome

They would be wise to intise us with a teaser at least, I spent hours last night on historical archive's trying to answer a question as to why Lincoln would move a shipment of gold, why was it in wv,why supposedly secret from the rest of the escort, and found that a payroll was not plausible, they used devalued greenbacks as currency, a shipment of confiscated confederate gold, holdings,by the confiscation act of 1861 62,is much more likely, the new York stock exchange was more likely the destination, to pay for foreign trade, possibly smelted in west Virginia, I did find references to large amount's of confiscated gold to be kept at protected depositorys until it was to be used for the war effort, these are good questions to the validity of the story in the first place, and who knew enough to make the ambush, I highly sought there was much gold found, likely a historical crime scene

Dennis, we will be watching for updates.

Finders Keepers wanted street cred and lost their gold find to the FBI.

RULE #1
You find 50 pounds of gold you shut up.

What about when it is on state land, as in a state park? Not much else Dennis and his crew could do. In this case the only way to get it is to report it and HOPE he is awarded some sort of finder's fee. It completely sucks, but there's no other way to do it in this scenario. He has been waiting a long time for this, and after much effort. But hey...if it's on private land...yeah, keep your mouth shut.
