F K, just for the heck of it, I typed in Lue, N M into Google. It mentioned the Big Lue Mtns in Grant county (SW New Mexico). It mentioned Coal Creek west of Mule Creek town. (The P O there is part of a garage with parking for about 3 cars...I was there). Now this area was for mining of various ores and it mentioned that there was activity all along Coal Creek which runs N W into Arizona. I really don't think this is the 'Lue' you were looking for because the article didn't mention gold or silver. Although I live in Minn,. I've spent the last 6 yr metal detecting ghost towns in New Mexico for 2 weeks every spring.

FinderKeeper,

Are you still looking for the LUE treasure? There is a talk in Utah this May 2015
Mostly the LUE map --covers parts of southern Colorado and northern New Mexico
If you want to talk more--or go prospecting let me know
