Large cent is my guess... great reserch too...

There for a minute I was looking at your gas rebate (5 cents) and thought I was looking at those alien circles in the corn fields scientists cant explain. Time to go get the glasses prescription updated, lol. HH

Nice finds.

Curious though, how deep was the colonial?

HH!

two awesome hunts in a row for you.. good job. Did your gas rebate pay for your trip.:laughing7:

Really like this site Jeff, Something tells me there's a Great find waiting there for somebody......................HH

Very. I Pushed in about 8 to 9 inches popped out a plug
& Had to go deeper to get at it.
It's very thin & as you can probably see has a Greenish tone.
I Don't think by thiness & the fact I Can't ID the face that it can be a US coin.

Since My last trip here produced a 1735 half Penny just a short distance north of it.

& the Tulpehocken Path
The Tulpehocken Path Map
was also right there, As Was the Keffer Tavern & Saw mill History of Schuylkill County, Pa: with illustrations and biographical ... - W.W. Munsell & Co - Google Books I'm convinced Colonial

Me too Greg !
Downsides there is about a foot layer of soft Coal Dust just below the grass that covers the entire site.
everything sinks in it. even the memorials averaged 4 to 5 inches.
we used 2 Etracs & My Explorer, and 3 different coils, and getting accurate signals was impossible.
repeatable signals were rare.
I was able to guess fairly accurately on most of my digs whether they would be
round or not, but the only solid tones came from the large trash targets.

Thanks again all !

looks like upside down William III halfpenny

Thanks Jeff ! I'll have to re Examine it in the Light, But believe you may be on to something
by some of the detail I can see near the edges

I'm not great with colonial copper IDs but just going off that ribbon on left side of bust if you flip the pic around

I'll need to try for some pics in the sun if it comes out today.

If I flipped the correct one.

This would explain the layered look some of it had in the field
when we were inspecting it.

Thanks again :icon_thumleft:
