Silver Fox's Views of the 1st Tri-State Cloves Lake, Staten Island Fling
If you read Joe G's account of our fabulous outing in Staten Island (one of NYC's 5 boroughs) you know that we had a ball. It was great getting together with some of the people whose posts/replies you read hear and then meet them. They are a fine bunch of guys and we missed the gals who weren't able to make it.
These attended: Glenn (TreasurediggerNY), Ricardo (Ricardo_NY1), Joe G, EZrider, metalman, Stormfighter, Photofinish2, Philo_NY, and yours truly for a total of 9.
When we heard about Ricardo's run-in with the "law" we all felt bad and were brought down a little. But Ricardo didn't let the encounter bother him and he trekked on taking a break only for lunch.
It goes without saying although it's already been said that we all owe Glenn a heap of somethin'. He not only provided transportation for Ricardo and myself but brought everything that was needed for a successful feeding of an army! Great hot dogs and burgers, plenty of water, ketchup, mustard, QUALITY paper plates, napkins. All that was left out was he feeding us by hand!
That was lunch. Prior to that, when we assembled on the park's parking lot, Glenn opened the back of his outtasight PT Cruiser and set up a coffee shop complete with wonder hot java, a hell of a variety of donuts, and everything else you find at a successfull coffee shop. You'll see this in the photos below.
Like Joe G said, although we greeted each and told each other our names, I cannot match all names with the images in the photos but you guys know who you are so pitch in and say, "That's me!"
