Not often that I am wrong about gold, have much experience finding both good, close and bad.
This is a pure honker found at a beach, I gave it a quick once over and was 90% certain it was legit.
My method is to stick it in my pocket and forget about it until I get home, though I do have a loupe in my truck I use occasionally. I think I just like the suspense, and my initial determination is almost always confirmed.
So I was quite disappointed when I saw the 925 hallmark, gold plated silver. After that wore off I am now pretty happy finding it, better than a junker !
Rang up a solid 94 on the simplex, it was a near eyeball find part of it was exposed on the surface so all I had to do was bend over and pick it up. Also found what I presume to be a titanium ring.
