I thought I'd try my luck inching down a very steep stream bank with an almost 45 degree slope. Now I know what a mountain goat or a haggis must feel like. Most of my targets were concentrated in one area from top to bottom with a liberal dose of .22 cal slugs and shell casings to keep me busy.

A curious assortment of finds included:
Vintage Spur
Pocket Watch Chain
Tiny Flat Button without a shank
IMPERIAL "Relic Thing"* :icon_scratch:
Rim Fire Shell Casing
Droppings :laughing7:

*My research tells me that IMPERIAL made syringes but this would be a very big syringe if it were. There is still wood inside. Perhaps this was a primitive type of plunger? Any thoughts or opinions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for Looking.
Nick

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Nice!!! Congrats!!!
Thank you, Digger RJ! I will most likely be posting Qs to 'What's It?' about the IMPERIAL relic and the age/type of the spur...

Imperial ski pole tip.

Interesting idea, rodgerdodger. But it might be a bit too chunky for that, plus it is 6" long. I was thinking along the line of a tripod leg maybe?

Nice hunt, congrats! :occasion14:

Thank you, Professor! There are no known cellar holes around so any finds out here are random drops or in random concentrations. This slope was near a wide running brook with some crossings here and there...
