Even Fishy & Froggy don't seem much interested.

All those who hunt cornfields have my respect! Don't see how you guys can do it! That 3 hours was like any 10 hour walk I've had! Yikes I'm tired from stumbling!

BTB ...just how do large square nails fool the detector so completely!!?? :icon_scratch:

Thanks for peeking!
Be safe!

Just the time out in the field with detector is relaxation! :occasion14:

I think in the past two weeks, I've put in 60 hours+ in the farm fields! :hello2:

There's a saying that a bad day fishing beats a good day at work, and I'd say the same goes for metal detecting. Sometimes you just have to enjoy the fact you're able to do it and be glad you got out! So cheers to ya! :occasion14:

Now that’s the kind of stuff I find. And it kills my lower back! And my ankles. Well, WIF, you got out and about and that is good. You just don’t know what is buried there and you have to dig it!

But.....ya see.....any other place I could agree. But....in a cornfield!!?? The last thing I feel is relaxed! Wow! It's just too much like work! :dontknow:

Nice way to keep in shape Whadi. It's all good.

Look at the bright side, often, if it was corn last year, it next be planted with soybeans! Soybean stubble, if cut short, is a lot easier to hunt!

Just saying. I spent hours in a soybean field today and got an 1836 capped bust half dime. I got square nails, buttons and bullets too.

The Cornfields are tough on walking in Whadi. Anymore, I will wait until the next year when they rotate it back to Beans. Easier walking ! Glad you got out and got your exercise.

The strangest part of it all to me, is that even if no coins had ever been dropped there. Why can't I even find a single stray bullet!?!? Seems like at least one errant shot would've landed somewhere on this old land! :dontknow:

I am glad that you got out for your "social distancing authorized" exercise, Whadi. We all know that in this hobby, "Off by an inch, off by a mile." But, you did not go home with a goose egg! Next time, there is always next time. Sub 8-)

Here you go, WHADI. I went out for about an hour last night. My spectacular finds. LOL

But you enjoyed the stumbling amongst the corn because the thrill is in the chase!

A square nail, hmmm?
Perhaps dragged over from else where?
Bird dropped, thought it was nest material?
Someone ran out of bullets and fired nails? :dontknow:

What I want to know is, what is a paper clip doing in the middle of a cornfield??? :icon_scratch:

Blingie is just grouchy, he got up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.
Let’s see what the other two make from a paper clip.

Oh you buried your pinpointed too WD! :laughing7:

...I have! :laughing7:

Oh, I wasn't the only one to notice that WD's pinpointer should be run through the car wash? :laughing7: Seriously, we enjoy a hobby playing with dirt, and what is in it...
