Unknown Rock?? (atleast to me) Help Please.

Good morning all,

I was out doing some early metal detecting on land I was provided permission to metal detect and found this very strange rock buried... I ran a magnet through the entire rock and there is not an area on the surface that is not magnetic. Anyone have experience with this? I have included pictures of it. Thanks!

My guess would be Iron slag. You may try cleaning it up somewhat to see if any composition details will come into view.

I took out a sample of the rock and even the rock crumbs are magnetic. You may be right on it being an iron slab?
