Military Button, Flat Button, and a wheat
Hit the old farm house again today. Same one I found the Victorian era Canadian silver 10 cent piece (in Iowa no less)
It's kind of funny. I've been watching a lot of Stealth Diggers videos lately and just today thought to myself, man those guys find a lot of buttons. I don't think I've ever found a flat or military button. Out of the five six plugs I cut tonight I found one flat button, one military button, and one 1918 wheat penny.
I'm not sure what time frame the military button is from but anything with a federal shield an an eagle seems pretty nice to me. This button says Scovill Mfg Co Waterbury on the back. The flat button has a no markings I can find. There's some scratches on the face and it's hard to tell whether the marks were intentional design or the result of time underground. Any ideas into the time frame of the buttons would be greatly appreciated.
I need to start thinking more about all the gold I haven't found.....
