1922-1936 REM-UMC No 12 NITRO CLUB

I was out detecting the other day and came across this shot gun shell and didn't think it was too old a buddy came by and looked at it and he thought it was so I looked it up and it happened to be from 1922-1936 REM-UMC No12 NITRO CLUB.

Hello DetectorMike. Welcome to the world of shot-shell-head-stamp-hunting. They are fun to find and can generally be dated to specific periods. I have several hundred of these but I still dig digging them.

Wow...I just found this forum. Been detecting since 1968. I wanted to research the shotgun shells I found yesterday out in the desert. I don't collect them, so I just photographed them and left them in place. But now, thanks to this site, I see that they are in fact fairly old. Petty cool! I think I'll go back out there and bring them home. I expect to post more on this site in the future. Got lots of good stories to tell.



These item were recovered from the old 20 Mule Team wagon trail in California.
