My dad (CrisDITD) was able to secure permission on a spot as a b-day present to me. It's the gift that keeps on giving. Three Mississippi "I" Buttons and a Mississippi "I" cuff among other things. Dad also found a Mississippi on the first swing of his coil so we knew it was going to be a good spot!! Some finds are from there and others are from a spot Mike (MosbySt) was able to secure. Mike secured an Eagle V cuff, an Eagle breast plate, as well as other nice relics.

These were found using the GPX4500 with the 12x15 DD coil. If there is any question of the best detector out there, for me, the answer is any GPX you can get your hands on. That plus a Lesche shovel, a Lesche hand shovel, and a Garrett ProPointer are my favorite, most reliable tools to use while relic hunting.

It was standard eagle breast plate.

Yes, you can get a used 4500 or 4800 right around 3k. That's much cheaper than an ex-wife and will cause less headaches.
