Hi;
I dug this buckle. I didn't think of adding a size reference in the photo, but it's a bit larger than a book of matches.
It has some things stamped on the back. A 1921 patent date. A possible brand name, "Giant Grip", the phrase "Silver Front", and what looks to me like a round hallmark that I can't read yet.

Do you folks think that it is silver, or partially silver, and do you think that it should be cleaned, or left as is?

Thanks!

That is a sweet buckle! I'd wear it now. :)

I love the Greek key.

That is an awesome buckle. Looking at the back of it, there appears to be a silver color in spots. I'd say it could have been silver plated when it was made. I don't think it would hurt it to clean it but it does look pretty cool like it is. Very nice buckle!

I love it! I wouldn't polish it or anything. Looks great the way it is.

Not a clue, but it is a very nice find for sure.

that's a cool buckle. it's not silver though. I would bet it had silver plated highlights

Thanks for all of the input! I was wishing that my first or last initial was B!
