Unusual bluish-gray rock with layers of sand-please help ID

[Charmin]

This was found on a creek gravel bar while arrowhead hunting. It is milky bluish-gray material with what looks like layers of sand(?) between. I've never found anything else like it and wondered if maybe it wasn't carried in here(Okla./Kansas) by indians? Its really smooth and rounded from either use or maybe from being tumbled in the creek? If anyone can identify the material that would be wonderful and much appreciated! regards, sandcreek4

I would say quartz. There is a variety called blue quartz. Some of the milky quartz has a black mineral in it that can give it a blue/gray appearance.

Nice one for the mantle, rock garden, aquarium, or flower pot. Cool paper weight too!

Thanks jamey--I just wonder if this stuff is also found in Oklahoma? or if it was carried in here by indians? Its so smooth! When I saw the shape of it laying on the gravel bar, I thought bannerstone or something. But its not drilled out. It was just something unusual for me to find on the gravel bar where there's a lot of sandstone.
