Was Bored at work couple weeks ago so i thought i would play with some slate. Only way to learn 100% what to look for in fakes

Thanks very much, yes birdstones can be made anciently out of anystone. Slate, popherey(incorrect spelling im sure ) are the norm.

Scary how easy it can be to fake slate. You've got a natural skill there for the curves and shapes.

Yeah , i break them to basically dust trying to learn more of what the criminals on ebay and artifact shows do
