I took this pic to explain why my grandson had to go for a swim. But as we were waiting for him to find some trunks, grandma's magic touch freed the lure.
Woo hoo thanks WD !! Your keeping my thread alive !! All this yacht work and treasure hunting has kept me from fishing !! See if I can dig up some photos !!
Catching the mahi pretty good these days. Caught 10 yesterday. But we have been swimming, snorkeling, and tubing more than fishing. Its to hot to fish in the direct noon time sun so its into the ocean for a dip !! It was cloudy yesterdy toward the afternoon so I took the bosses kids tubing
Same thing today........fish in the morning and snorkel/hooka in the afternoon !!
Went fishing around Marblehead Lighthouse on Saturday. It was an absolute beautiful day on the lake! Fishing was fast and furious. We got on the lake between 6:00 and 6:30 a.m. and pulled our last fish in at 8:38 a.m. We were using Bandits and Reef Runners. Nothing of great size but all good eaters between 16" and 22". Our leads were 45 and 55 back and our speed was 2.5 which is fast. Normally we go 1.5 - 1.7.
We kept crossing the path that the ferry takes from Marblehead to Kelley's Island.
One in the box!
Two and three in the box.
I lost count! But we got our limit in no time!

They had a beautiful day for working.
This is the causeway and a little bit of Johnson's Island. Johnson's Island was a Confederate POW site. I wanted to get a better view. Maybe next time?
