A long hike, very steep trail in places. The day turned hazy, not good for a point and shoot camera, but I had to!
I will be going back when it's a clear day. I had to "adjust the pictures, it was that hazy/cloudy. The waterfall"miners creek" is at least 20 feet tall.
Miners creek, unmarked not well known.
Thunder cove.
"secret" beach.

Thank you, and untouched...kinda. The Oregon coast trail, has a lot of trash around it. I pick it up....but it keeps "appearing"
No problem, trash bags are cheap.:icon_thumright:

The beauty of the Oregon coast. Is the hiway north of you open now? I think they were having problems north of Gold Beach with the road sliding. Never get over that way anymore, so I must have heard something on the radio.

The road slides are an ongoing problem. 101 is open as far as I know.

A few more.

Nice photographs! Thanks for sharing...

Great pictures thanks for sharing.

Great area, hard to take a bad pic with scenery like that. We're gearing up for a week-long fishing/camping trip to the coast this summer but the scenery isn't that good around Ft Bragg.

I will be taking some pics of "Natural bridges" in this same area, weather permitting.

We now have the Oregon coast trail, and a lot more easy access to viewpoints. The bridges on the trail, loops, well marked trail heads, make it very "tourist" friendly. I have often considered taking my Zodiac into some of those coves just to explore the beaches.

ok, #1 I am amazed that you can walk a mile!

But honestly that is one beautiful place ( when I get out there can I camp at that spot?) (( with you supplying my food and beer?))

Yes Jeff G....you can! About 100 feet off the beach their was a rock ring, in it, burnt wood. So....not in the state park.
Beer? Local craft brewery offers "thunder cove IPA" and "arch Rock ale". Both are within a 1/2 mile...Thunder cove and Arch rock... not the beer....:laughing7:
Food? well these are tracks, on the beach about 100 feet from where you will be camping. Mystery meat!

WOW!! Those are some great pics!
I could spend forever out there... Except for me being a sissy in the cold...
LOL
Absolutley beautiful views!

Thanks...and it was about 60 degrees, nice hiking weather.

Awesome pictures Vik!! After 46 years of marriage, when finally started taking trips to the coast. Being a couple of desert rats, we really have enjoyed ourselves. Stayed down at Crescent City and drove up to Brookings....just doin' the tourist thing. It's kinda like the desert...it has a beauty all its own!! Thanks for the pics!!
