Hello Jim,

Just saw that you like my comment. Pville's got a great little spot to sluice up his way, would love to get an expert like you or Lanny out their to read the ground a bit. Tons of hand stacked rocks all around and some hard rock mining too. Have enjoyed reading your posts over the years, hope your still on some good silver up your way. I recently started to appreciate the albino cousin of gold.

Hi Jim, I merely :-( scanned your newest essay on Steves' forum due to the fact I am in the middle of returning to a deep sea tug for 45 days. If anything I say is incorrect please excuse my ignorance but I just don't have the time to thoroughly vet my statements. One way to discriminate with a TDI that I don't remember ever seeing you discuss is through the use of DD coils. As you slowly swing across a target the signal will switch as you pass the center of the coil as in in a low-high-low when over ferrous targets. I experimented with this technique briefly and it does work but not on small targets. I do not have any links to Reg's posts about this I only remember he mentioned it very briefly quite some time back so I tried it. I use my GPX almost exclusively so I have never spent time exploring this technique further.
