Ivan, Hello there. I have spoken with you a couple of times over the past few years and have lost connection with metal detecting in the past two years due to work, family....etc... Well to make a long story short, my metal detecting partner has moved to the southern gulf region of Florida and he was mostly a beach hunter. I myself enjoy relic hunting. I am finding it difficult to find areas on land to hunt. I was wondering if you could provide me with some pointers or how you research areas to hunt. Do you knock on doors, hunt public land, private land, or just pull of the street and go into the woods? I am interested in getting artifacts out of the ground to preserve them. Its getting quite difficult in Florida with tons of laws and im not real sure what is legal to hunt in Jacksonville other than the high tide to low tide mark. I am also looking for a new buddy to hunt with. I live just down the street of the Fort Caroline Monument.
