Hi there. I have only just found your message, so my apology for not replying earlier. The Maori Chief handsaw was apparently made in the 1930's by Disston, to acknowledge that New Zealand, per capita, was the largest importer of their saws. I have just found an example listed at $18 value Antique Tools - Grandpa's Treasure Chest : To Order or ask a question [email protected]

I am sure that one in excellent condition will command a better price.
