  • Hi there. I have only just found your message, so my apology for not replying earlier. The Maori Chief handsaw was apparently made in the 1930's by Disston, to acknowledge that New Zealand, per capita, was the largest importer of their saws. I have just found an example listed at $18 value Antique Tools - Grandpa's Treasure Chest : To Order or ask a question [email protected]

    I am sure that one in excellent condition will command a better price.

    Hi there, I have a 'Maori Chief' saw but i cannot find any information on it including what it is worth!

    I don't want to sell it for below what it's worth and you picture is the only one that comes up in google images!

    would you have any idea what it's worth could be?
