Been in Real Estate for 8 years and detecting for 40 years. Also do some gold prospecting. As far as places to go it depends what you are looking for. Coins, relics, jewelry or gold? Most of the parks have been detected to death but still give up something good every now and again. I am thinking that when the weather gets better I am going to try and find some old swimming holes at lakes and in the rivers and check them out. Researching areas and getting permission if needed is the key. So much of Colorado is state or National land and off limits to detecting (except for gold). Old schools, Railroad stops and homesteads are what I am looking for.
