Just got to Okinawa myself, I'm a rookie MD, but looking for a good starting spot for hunting. I live on Kadena, was going to start out hitting up Kadena Marina and Torii Beach. I have a Teknetiks Delta 4000, so won't be able to do any water hunting yet. Maybe tax time, or if I get lucky with a good find. Then I can get an excalibur II and let my son swing the delta. Did you have any issues metal detecting in Okinawa, any places you weren't welcome or got negative vibes from locals...lol. From my experiences so far seems like most of the locals are friendly, just not sure of the laws concerning finds. Are you supposed to find owner of jewelry or anything like that? Keep the faith brother, you will get through it. I got diagnosed 2 mos. ago trying to control it with diet and it isn't easy. By the way nice finds!
