I will start a new log for all the ground finds in 2013. It will include all the free money I find, excluding detecting.

Got you both beat for the year. This morning I found a pocket spill in my local 7-11 parking lot. .47 cents. As the Black Kid at the movie end of The Cincinnati Kid told Steve McQueen, "you just ain't ready for me yet." lol

lost, you have to stay in the game, one day does not count. Got another $0.02 cents last night. Off tonight, but working tomorrow. My schedule tomorrow is not a good money route, but Monday night should be a different story, good chance of some greenbacks Total $0.45 cents

Got 2 more cents at Target today. One in the parking lot and one at the cashiers floor. .49 cents so far. Should get a nice increase next time I'm at McDonalds or Burger Kings drive through windows. Once I scored around 3 bucks at my Micky D's. Clad looked like bird droppings under the window. Lazy people?

You do make a good point there. Some nights I'll get to sweep BK, and Taco Bell, but no luck under the windows. I think the people of NJ are holding on tight to whatever they have

Off tonight, but on the next 3 nights, 1 day off and back on. I need the OT, plus I don't want to miss any parking lot freebies

- 2000 quarter (Virginia)

Total for the year: $0.41

The cent was hidden under a clump of grass and half pressed into the ground. The side that was in the ground has some holes and white corrosion. The quarter is as worn as a junk silver quarter and has some red patina from being in the ground in the past.

Total of $0.02 last night and I had 9 stops. This is ridiculous, I found so much more on my old route and averaged a dollar a week in change alone. At this rate it'll take me a month to break $1.00

I checked my McDonalds drive thu yesterday morning. Nothing. Even the sausage, cheese, egg biscuit was tasteless. Favorite 7-11 lot. Nothing. Thought about walking the HS Parking lot across the way. In the past that's been good for change up to bills. But, in this day and time I would probably have had the local SWAT team surrounding me in minutes.
Ground eyeballing can become hazardous to us good ole boys.

I saw a cent today, but right at the second someone picked it up. Also, I saw another cent, but I saw it was glued to the floor for a prank. Ended up with an elongated cent from Sea World today on the bus, but I won't include that since it is not real money.

Still in the game with my .49 cents. Made my usual Saturday morning routine today, ground and bush searching as I went from shop to shop. Thought to myself, do I look as crazy as I feel, walking along looking for wind blown bills in the bushes along the sidewalks and store fronts? There is where the big money is. $1's and $5's. Sure, big time. Again, came up with nothing. Not even a single penny. But, hey, I'm trying.

Last night was my night to shine, a total of $0.24 cents. 2 dimes in one location, on the sidewalk and in the lot.

I was lucky to cover some of my old routes last night and that's where the money is Look at it this way, 1 month on the new route $0.49 cents, 1 night on the old route $0.24 cents.. Big difference

Back on Sun & Mon night

One wheat cent, 1 memorial and one of the "new" design pennies. And while detecting, a gold coin on top of the ground I spotted before the machine did. That was today. For the first 5 minutes I thought it was a fake.
