The Problem with the Battery Compartment on the Probes.

I Know some suggested Cardboard.

This is why.

The Probes have a Small Piece of Foam in the Lids

If you are having Problems with your Probe Shutting off,

Check to see if the piece is Missing, Or crushed.

A fix may be as simple as putting a Nickle under the Cap

the actual Thickness of the foam Matches a Nickle & Dime together

But Foam Compresses

Good tip Jeff. If the battery can't get a good contact it won't work.

Thanks :icon_thumright:

Thinking about it, Half dollar may be good
enough too

Half dollar won't fit
unless you press it in perminant

i'll have to check that on mine, more often when i press the button it shuts off.

Yes if my Probe is on & I press the Button
it shuts off :laughing7:

I love my garrett probe for dry sand, but I adore my vibra probe for wet sand and in the shallow waters, since my garrett doesnt like anything wet.. so I wear both.

If my probe looses its foam I think I might try a dab of clear silicone, about the diameter and thickness of a nickle. That should be a good fix. If it ever happens I will test it out, and post it, if not well................................................. ???
