A few hundred dollars worth of vintage designer silk scarves, that is. I found a broken silver spoon handle and another piece of scrap silver and a first American edition of Anne Frank The Diary of a Young Girl also. They had a big roll off dumpster out front, so we asked and the lady said go ahead, so myself and two other guys (my local competition but still friends) jumped on in. One guy found several pieces of sterling jewelry and the other guy found a small ladies 18k gold watch. I don't understand people who don't look through stuff before they toss it. The scarves are in very good condition, vintage wise. One has a few minor stains on one corner and another has a couple very small spots, but hey they were free! They should still sell for at least $300 between the 3 of them. I got these about a month ago but finally got around to posting them. I just had them dry cleaned for $5 each, so they'll be getting listed soon. Gotta recoup my $15, lol. Here's the pics-

Thanks for looking! :icon_thumleft:

Nice finds. I always check the scarves section at my thrift stores. Not a single HERMES yet. Many mint condition silk ones though....which reminds me, where did I put those anyway?

You did good there!
I like that fishy Gucci one, of course! LOL! I always look for the Hermes, too, but alas, they still elude me! LOL!
I do have a few nice scarves, but I highly doubt they are worth much, and, oh yeah, where did I put those? LOL!

Thanks for the replies. I didn't hear anything but crickets chirping on this thread until today. lol. I still haven't listed them. I'm gonna wait for a few more weeks before I list them. The summer slumpshould be over by then hopefully. I'm always looking for vintage womens stuff, perfumes, purses, etc.. Today I found a vintage Oleg Cassini sequined top that the guy threw in for free because I bought so much other stuff. I'll post a thread about it on the GS page of the forum. Sweet estate sale in Dania, Fl. today.
