Building my 5in Dredge from parts and pieces
Working on my New Dredge got my flair and aluminum bent for my sluice
have a new 11 hp motor on its way, still have to lower where
the sluice sits, have to use this frame that was made for a crash box.
my nozzle has a 4in ring welded on so it'll work in ESH, the box is 20in x 5ft
If I want to go to a 6" mini I would just have to change the jet flair and hose.
Right now I'm just using what I can scrounge and going through everything
to make it reliable. the nozzle is not much smaller than the ring in the stock 5"
I should be able to move the overburden faster shouldn’t have any problems hogging the material.
My claims down in southern Oregon don’t open up till July 1st I should have it all together by then.
.
parts dredge next to my 4"mini
. a good start
.
finished breaking in my new motor.
made a slide to adjust the sluice using "super strut" has a nut that slides.
cut down a riffle from a 24" wide from a 6" dredge, had it 1/8th too wide
had to redo it, decided not to try to weld on the frame so I just used bolts.
