Picked up $48 in loose Ikes this evening, they were sealed in a white envelope and I didn't pay much attention at the time because I was on my way to the gym.

Dumped them out when I got home and heard the most beautiful sound...

The sound of silver. The sound of...

MY FIRST SILVER DOLLAR!

1890 Morgan Dollar to boot! Feels good, man. 8-)

That's awesome!!! Another fella dug an 1890 today. I suck, all I have done is sit here and read everyone else's finds...

Great Find! Its difficult to ever know for sure what to expect with this hobby but it often seems like the best finds are when we least expect it - esp with silver dollars because we're all so used to just expecting and getting more clad Ikes and then one day SURPRISE SURPRISE! lol.

Congrats and welcome to the club!

H$H!

Congrats Mastermind!

I shall repeat BigWaveDave's post......

Nice catch! Still looking for my first Morgan. Found a peace dollar before.

That's AWESOME, I am still waiting on my first "silver" dollar. Congrats on such an epic find!

WHOA! Awesome score MM! I am REALLY glad you got it! HH, Maverick.

Thanks, guys! I wasn't expecting anything when I picked up the envelope, let alone a Morgan.

I've had a suspicion that the same group of Ikes have been circulating around the banks in my area for a little while. Picked up from one bank and dumped at another, and then another, etc. by myself and the other various hunters in my area. Probably unfounded, but I started picking up any and all that I could find and bagging them up to hopefully ship them away.

For the last two weeks I couldn't find any Ikes anywhere, so I figured that throwing them in my bags of halves had worked.

Then I stumbled across these. So glad I was able to scoop them up before someone else. 8-)
