I am new here and would like to take a moment to say hello to the community. I am in need of your help, this was turned up by a bobcat on our farm, people tell me its just a stone, it is three inches long and unfortunately has the ends broken off. what jumped out to get my attention is it apparently came to a point and was flared at the base, 1/2 of the top and the bottom seem to be natural stone texture but four of the edges seem to have been ground smooth and are concave , also what seemed unusual to me was the top view how clean and uniform the edges are coming to a point, just seemed too perfect to be formed naturally, but maybe I'm wrong and it is just a wierd shaped stone. My pics are to large to attach so here is the album of them, sorry for the double post, I put this in "what is it" forum by accident.

You'll have a better response if you post your pics here. It's not that hard to reduce the size of your pics.

Looked at your pics and you will def have better responses if you post pics here...but from what I can see looks like a rock to me buddy keep looking!

What you have found,my friend, is a core. It is what was left when a very expert knapper worked a big (round, probably, or oval) stone with another one. That is a flint or something close. Around the top you will see that there are slight protrusions around the rim. It is where the energy from the strike of the hammerstone actually compresses the stone where it hits and makes a round shape.

That is gorgeous. If you want to invest $20, prove me wrong or put it on eBay for a $75 starter. It will go :)

Thanks very much Onlinefisherman for making an identification for me on the piece, I will most likely keep it,kind of a neat piece. I much appreciate everyones help and interest, ty.

He may be correct.. also it appears to be obsidian not Flint. Here is one of mine for comparison. This one is chert
As far as eBay..my advice is to run the other way.
