So I get to my in-laws in Maryland Sunday around 3pm. They greeted me with the fact they had an ice storm the night before, no power, no internet, and no TV. WHAT!?!?!
I missed the NFC game, was gonna lose it if I couldn’t watch my game.
Ended up at a sports bar next to a ski resort, surrounded by Steeler fans and Ravens fans rooting for the Chiefs.
I’ve never in my life had a better time watching the Pats win.
If the receiving team touches the ball, but doesn’t recover, the kicking team can recover it and maintain possession. Can’t advance the ball on a muffed punt. I guess the controversy is whether Jules touched the ball or not. I’ll never know how it didn’t hit his arm or hand... but it didn’t.
I believe he was waiving off his blockers to let them know he was gonna let it bounce, but then it bounced directly to him, and I think he actually went to make a play on it, but missed.
People who don’t watch football for whatever reason have screwed themselves out of seeing some exciting and crazy plays.
What I find fascinating, in all sports, is that fame, glory, and heartbreak can come down to an inch, sometimes less.
They’ve been doing it for I don’t know, maybe 10 years now.
You haven’t noticed, cuz usually the Jaguars play a game in London, and who cares about them?
Also a game in Mexico is on the schedule...just expanding the NFL brand to international fans.
The game in London are a hoot too.... watch the game, the camera will often pan on the fans, and you’ll see that literally every NFL team is represented with their fan jerseys
But also games in London are broadcast live, so 9am its game time....nothing wrong with that!
He did not touch Mr Goat...and as far as the punt...No way did that ball not touch his thumb and bicep.
Not the Pats fault....Again, the Refs made a bad call, just like the helmet butt on the Saints/Chargers game.
Both of those games could of gone either way...Which is what made them exciting to watch.
I bet you would of been furious if there wasn't power anywhere to watch that game! WOW!
They were doing flyovers here so much, I guess a tree had gotten damaged in the storm that I didn't know about... the vibrations from the planes caused a huge limb to crash on a SUV in the drive... that's all I needed to see after that game! Ugh!
