Guess they didn't do much fact verification back in those days..and of
course, Mrs. Downer always told the truth..

most people did tell the truth back then.
it's only been the last few decades {computer years }people have become skeptical and full of crap

What are the odds that they happened to dig in just the right spot! Bet they had an LRL!

of course when your digging a hole ,
you'll never find something you never expected, right ?

they were digging a well.
not a treasure.

no one gets lucky ?

only issue I have is the estimate of value,
which may include a suggested possible historical value
to the right buyer

Of all of the holes that have been dug during the history of man, there is bound to be holes that correspond to where man has previously hid his fortune......I for my part have not been on either end of that scenario

I have Detected & Dug Metal and Found Glass, Marbles & Plastic in the same Holes.
So when Someone says they Dug a well & Come across
a Treasure, I Don't Expect Documentation or suggest they Lied.

but then I don't live half my life on facebook
