new here from abilene

so i have some questions concerning this hobby on places that can be detected..
like can you detect dry river/creek beds that have public access ?
like say for instance the clear fork or salt fork of the brazos ?
Hi and welcome to TNet from upstate NY. Maybe someone here from Texas will know the answer to your question.

welcome.
I'm no expert, but generally speaking all navigatable waterways in the US are public domain, but the land on both sides, and the stream bed can be private.
I would find the land owner, and ask. Hard to imagine they would mind someone scratching around in a dry stream bed.
it may open up other places to hunt. If the owner older, ask him about the history of the area, and what you are looking for, some old timers can be a wealth of information, and love to share their knowledge.
Good luck.

the area im looking at is a park ..
but thanks for the info and i will ask people also
