Hydraulic Pit Gold Nugget Hunt
Me and Gary @TwoToes head off into the Sierra's in his Jeep Rubicon on a quest to see how many Gold Nuggets we can find.
We are looking for the Yuba Palaeochannel or Palaeoriver deposits of the Ancestral Yuba River.
With Snow and Rain now in the forecast we get busy Detecting the Gravels in the pit looking for those Placer Gold Nuggets that have been missed by the old timers ( Older Than Gary ) while they were Hydraulic mining the area during and after the California Gold Rush.
