Hi there,
I have recently come across a Presentation Sword that is marked Horstmann Bros Phil Pa. It is 28 inches long, has an Elephant Ivory handle, has an Eagle on the end of the handle, has a 'KGE' on the hilt, I guess that is what you call it. All of the handle parts appear to made of brass. The scabbard is also made of brass.
I am not a Sword person and would like to find out something about this. The person I got it from says that he has had it over 40 years and got it from his uncle who had it at least 20 years prior to that.
Any info anyone has would be most greatly appreciated. I can give more details or descriptions if someone needs more info. I can also send a pic if you would like.
