***I am posting this here on "Today's Find" from the advice of another viewer.

I went out metal detecting today in search of some more WWII items. I found some American rounds and a few German but then I stumbled upon this incredible beauty. I couldn't believe my eyes when I first saw it. I could tell it was silver but I just did not know how old it was. After about ten minutes of research on the internet, I figured out it is a Gros Tournois coin. These were minted in honor of King Philippe IV of France. He ruled from 1285-1314. I found a coin which is 700 years old!!! I'm still smiling on this find :happy3:

***If anybody knows a little bit more about this coin, please let me know. Thanks for looking!
