I finally got out today to another of my favorite parks today, only hunted bout an hour, don't wanna wear my self thin too quick :o. I decided to go to an area where the skeeters were so thick last summer we had to wear full body netting, and this is a county park! But the coins were there, and so was the silver. So since the air temp was unseasonably warm for this time of year (60 degrees) I went to that area today and was not disappointed. Since this area saw many parties years ago, it is littered with slaw, whole squashed cans, pull tabs and aluminum caps. A lot of this stuff had been ignored by previous hunters and was never dug. I decided that this year I would remove as much as I could, so when the skeeters come out to play, I could just dig my coins and git out quick. I dug about 150 screw caps, when I got another signal that sounded like the last cap. My Explorer XS said it was different and at, at least 7 inches. So I made my plug that deep and 4 coins rolled out of it, they are 1941 Merc. a 1940-S lincoln, a 1957 Lincoln, 1946 Lincoln. The moral of this story is DIG those Caps!.........NGE
