Thanks to you guys I have finally worked out the dings from the pings..so close to wrapping this green machine around the nearest tree...but slowly the bond is growing..pull tabs and bottle caps are slowly getting back footed for other things..although modern coins bore me, i prefer the militaria excitement, neat day here..but alas hunting buddies in n/z are as scarce as hens teeth...funny that..thanks for looking...des ...the pics are ..kinloch, lake taupo. :laughing7: :dontknow: :thumbsup:p.s thanks for sharing your expertises...so for me its onwards and downwards..

Congradulations on the finds. I love the photo's also. HH.....

the up side to lack of hunting buddies is that no one else compeating with you for spots -- remember location is the key -- if it was not lost there its not going to be found there --want old stuff --go to where the people lived in the old days where they lived was where they lost stuff.

Nice haul there Des :icon_thumleft:
Lake Taupo looks as beautiful as ever too - although I hear the fishing is a bit hard at the moment.
Cheers, Mike
