Hi all, while working the Dangerous Hill site i did pull this bottle out of the mud close to the main drive shaft of a Hard-rock goldmine. The known as the SheepsHead and then the Redan and Husstler and operated for some 70 years. How much gold was mined is unknown. The main shaft is 1800 feet deep and 40 miners worked here. Most were welsh and cornish Poorly paid yet the mine owner grew fat with greed.Heres a apic of the mine circa 1890, the shaft today and the bottle found.
