Hi All..........
Today was a beautiful warm day, just made for doing some detecting.
I was driving towards one of my favorite places to hunt when I just
happen to see a construction company working around a 1920's house
that had been cut loose from the foundation and raised straight up in the
air about 12 feet and blocked up solid with 8x8 cribbing. I asked the owner
if I could detect around the perimeter and he said yes I could if I would find
his property markers for him. I did and he was happy to let me detect all over
the property which ended up being 3 lots that were 50'x80' each. I managed to
find 2 Mercury dimes (1940-s and 1945-s) one Roosie dime (1956-d) three wheat
cents (1928-s,1944 and 1952-d) and a really nice 8 gram .925 silver ring. The
amount of clad quarters and dimes supprised me as they seemed to be all over
in the ground. About $6.80 worth of them. Had a fun day but my hands are sore
from digging in the hard ground. Thanks for looking and HH Gold Nuggets :hello:

You took advantage of a great opportunity and made it pay off big time! The ring looks old to me. I'd guess about the same period as the merc's. Beautiful! I bet Sande isn't going to let you sell that one.

I've helped out a few property owners find their boundary markers, and even helped a client save money on a septic inspection by locating the tank for the septic company. Excellent ways to promote our hobby, help people out, and create hunting opportunities. Win-win is good!

I know you had a blast finding those goodies! That ring does look old and it looks like the stone might be jade. Not sure about that, but it sure is pretty! WTG on the clad count too! Well done! :hello2:
