Hey Folks,

A couple of weeks ago I went to my first organized hunt, the Annual Deep South Treasure Hunt put on by the Warrior Basin Treasure Hunters Association in Birmingham. The hunt is at Smith Lake Park near Cullman, AL. I had a blast! I'll try to post more details about the hunt in the "Clubs" forum but here's what I found/won. 23 Mercs, 2 silver Rosies, 3 silver Washingtons, 1 Walker, 2 1-oz silver rounds, 3 Sacajaweas, 1 $10 bill (wrapped around a penny), 1 pair of Killer B's headphones and a low-end NewForce metal detector. Pic of the coins:

Awesome digs! Wish I could find that many goodies all at once. I would probably wet myself! ::)

Nana, you really should go since it's in your stomping grounds. It's a lot of fun. I'll eventually post the details, contact info, etc. in the clubs forum.
